Donald Lake will be exhibiting transparent watercolors from his past few years of traveling across America. After teaching at Parkland College in Champaign for thirty four years, Lake has explored the Flint Hills of Kansas, the canyons of the American Southwest, and the Boundary Waters Wilderness Area of Minnesota documenting the landscape to return to paint in his Champaign studio. Exceptionally detailed and realist in their depictions, Lake’s watercolors demonstrate his commitment to representing the inherent beauty in nature.

Mission Statement: We encourage and promote the appreciation, study, cultivation, development, and practice of art for the benefit of all the people, cultures and communities of McLean County.
