Bookbinding Workshop with Andrew Huot

The McLean County Arts Center is pleased to announce that artist Andrew Huot will be teaching a workshop, Introduction to Bookbinding, on Saturday, July 20, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Participants will learn techniques to start making their own books and pamphlets working with paper, thread, and glue. Different book structures will be created that can be used for gifts, small notebooks, journals, or art projects. No experience is necessary, and all are encouraged to join in. This adult workshop for participants 16 years old and older costs $15. Please register by Thursday, July 11.


Andrew Huot teaches at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is the Conservator and Preservation Specialist at Illinois State University’s Milner Library in Normal. He received his BS in Fine Art from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon and his MFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
