English Watercolor Method with Doug Johnson

Johnson will instruct on the traditional approach to watercolor painting that developed in Britain during the late 18th and 19th centuries. The approach emphasizes transparency, luminous light, careful observation, and the use of white paper as the primary source of highlights. Relatively quick and easy, this transportable technique is great for travel and offers surprising versatility.

*All materials are provided: paints, brushes, painting surfaces, palettes, palette knives, drawing supplies, paper etc. Feel free to bring your own materials if you prefer options other that what we offer.
