Beginning Lightroom Classic with Pamela Cather

Thursday, 1 session
July 16
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Are you just getting started editing your photographs? Or maybe you have been trying, but they just aren’t coming out as you would like.

This is a beginning class on how to use the Basic Panel in Lightroom Classic’s develop module. There’s so much more to Lightroom Classic but, seriously, as a professional photographer who has been using Lightroom Classic for over 15 years, the Basic Panel is where I hang out the most.

The Basic Panel covers things like white balance, exposure, highlights, shadows, texture, dehaze, etc. You learn what each of these sliders do and when to use them.

You should bring a laptop, not a tablet, with Lightroom Classic NOT Lightroom. It’s confusing, but there’s a big difference. A mouse would be helpful, but your laptop’s trackpad should also work.

I will bring some files for us to work on together. Optionally, if we have time, you can bring a few of your own images to practice your new editing skills.

Mission Statement: We encourage and promote the appreciation, study, cultivation, development, and practice of art for the benefit of all the people, cultures and communities of McLean County.
