Pour it On Pitcher Class with Erin Furimsky

Tuesday, 3 sessions

Aug. 11, 18, 25
6:30-9:00 PM

In this three-week class we will finish out the end of summer by making some lovely pitchers with Erin Furimsky. She demonstrates how she makes pitchers on the wheel from start to finish. Erin will begin by throwing a tall cylinder, then plump it out. After that, she moves on to the spout and handle. All along the way, Erin shares her insights into setting up formal relationships that make strong cohesive forms. We will throw and work with wet clay the first 2 weeks, then focus on glazing and incorporating resist methods and layering glazes the third week.

All materials and tools provided. This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced ceramicists.

Mission Statement: We encourage and promote the appreciation, study, cultivation, development, and practice of art for the benefit of all the people, cultures and communities of McLean County.
