Strengthening Fundamentals of Throwing: Wonky to Wonderful with Shelly Challans

This throwing intensive is for any and all levels who have been throwing for at least 6 months to 1 year. Using mid-fire clay we will dive into throwing challenges individuals experience. In each session, specific forms will be targeted, assessed and techniques for improvement/modification will be discussed. Repetitive throwing with an emphasis on identifying missteps, corrections, and reproduction of results to progress participants skill level is the overall goal. It is very possible students may leave this class without any fired pots as the focus is on advancing skills and knowledge versus completed pots to final firing.

The fee includes access to firing, glazes, & 10 lbs of clay, Includes a shelf at the MCAC.

Does not include access to open studio hours.
