The Great Pottery Throwdown with Erin Furimsky

Tuesday, 6 sessions, with party Oct 23
Sep 1, 8, 22, 29, Oct 6
6:30-9:00 PM

Bring your skills, positive attitude, sense of adventure, and creativity to Tuesday or Thursday nights at MCAC. In this six-week class, makers will create four pieces inspired by a series of prompts and challenges designed to push creative boundaries and encourage experimentation.

For the first four weeks, each class will begin with a short warm-up activity before participants are presented with that week's challenge. You will have one week to interpret the prompt and do your best to complete the piece before moving on to the next challenge.

The fifth class will be dedicated to finishing work and beginning the glazing process, while the sixth class will focus entirely on glazing and final touches.

Then, on October 23 from 6:30–8:30 PM, we will gather for the big reveal—installing and celebrating the completed work alongside participants from both the Tuesday and Thursday evening classes.

All materials and tools provided. This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced ceramicists.

Mission Statement: We encourage and promote the appreciation, study, cultivation, development, and practice of art for the benefit of all the people, cultures and communities of McLean County.
