Ceramic Crit Nights with Erin Furimsky

Tuesdays, 2 sessions
June 9 & 23

6:30 - 9:00 PM

Back by popular demand!!

Join Instructor, Erin Furimsky for our first Ceramic Critique Group at the MCAC. Come with your technical problems, conceptual concerns, idea development, and design issues. We will not be creating or making during this it is a crit group.

From 6:30-9:00 PM we will have 30 min sessions for each person (with short breaks). All members participate and discuss the work of one artist at a time.

A good critique group (crit group) can be one of the best tools an artist can have to help build a conceptually solid practice and address concepts and techniques. Critiques can help an artist better understand how their work is communicating to a larger audience. You do NOT have to have a body of work of completed pieces for this. It can be finished work or in progress maybe even in development. We have a great organic community at MCAC and now we have the chance to create a little structure and still have an actual conversation. This is open to ceramic artists that are working at home and want to come in and have some community.

This is limited to 8 people total and 4 go each night, no clay body or shelves or studio time is offered with the intensive.

Mission Statement: We encourage and promote the appreciation, study, cultivation, development, and practice of art for the benefit of all the people, cultures and communities of McLean County.
