C-28 Animal Sculpture Class with Alanna Veitch

   Wednesdays, 4 sessions

Nov. 13, 20, Dec. 4, 11;

(skips week of Thanksgiving)

6:30 -9 pm

Fee: $130 for non members

We will be building creatures by learning how to break down a complex form into basic shapes using coil and slab techniques. After building a basic form, we will focus on the detailing to make it come alive. We will be making an animal each week and glazing the last week of class. Students should leave with 3 animals at the end of session.

Need to have taken intro to handbuilding class.

Student work is fired on-site by our ceramics studio assistant, allowing everyone to take home finished pieces. 

Enrollment in this class provides access to MCAC's kilns and our full range of ceramic glazes, plus tools and 10lbs of clay, a shelf, and access to open studio hours.
