Let's have fun experimenting and altering shapes on the wheel! We will be using the wheel as a tool to make basic shapes to alter- building sculptural forms and vessels. Highlights on the wheel will be learning how to make bottle necks and enclosed forms to make jars and vases. We will handbuild forms to combine with wheel thrown parts.

This is an intermediate class: Must have taken both beginning throwing classes at MCAC.

The fee includes access to firing, glazes, 10 lbs of clay, a shelf at the MCAC and access to open studio during our open hours.

No guest registration allowed for this option

Mission Statement: We encourage and promote the appreciation, study, cultivation, development, and practice of art for the benefit of all the people, cultures and communities of McLean County.
