Fee: $10.00 per session

Students aged 7 to 12 can join Instructor Billie Jean Hill for one session or for all six sessions of our Fun Art Fridays this fall at the McLean County Arts Center. In these mixed-media media workshops, Billie Jean will incorporate intersectional foundations in art history with a fun and engaging project each week. Not only will students learn about traditionally acclaimed artists and makers, but also develop important technical and fine-motor skills. This course is appropriate for students of any experience level. All art materials are supplied.

October 14: Piet Mondrian(Painting in his style using masking tape)

October 21: Frida Kahlo(self-portrait in her style)

October 28: Kara Walker(Silhouettes)

November 4: Georgia O'Keeffe(Red poppy pastel project)

November 11: Jean-Michel Basquiat(Self-portraits in his style)

November 18: Alma Thomas (abstract rainbow or landscape)
