Recycled Remembrance: Abstract Fiber Forms

Join instructor Krystal Lyon for this five hour exploratory workshop. Students will create abstract fiber forms using string, yarn, cloth and a variety of other recycled materials. This workshop is appropriate for beginners.

About her own work, Krystal says, "All the items used to make my sculptures are recycled or items thrown away, things that are not wanted that are then turned into something beautiful and desired. Through tying and crocheting, weaving and wrapping with old clothes, yarn and fabrics a shape takes form. I also hide things in every sculpture, whether items or actual thoughts and prayer or journals something that is precious or secret is wrapped into each sculpture."
